The Zoo

A sunny mid-week visit to the Zoo was how we eased into leaving family behind in Northern California. At 22 months Stella is loving animals, insects, water and just an all around good time. She ran and laughed and pointed out all the critters to me. JQ, on the other hand was a bit more subdued in his excitement (and although I didn't know it at the time was running a low fever). He really wanted to see Dinosaur's and Dragons. I guess a trip to the Natural History Museum is in our near future! The Santa Barbara Zoo, while small compared to some others is stunning with lots of shady spots, plant life and walking paths. We took our time and our cues from the kiddos. Its how we roll. By far the biggest hits were the giraffes and koi pond sporting tons of baby ducks.

  1. The (St. Louis) zoo is one of our favorite places to go! It is always fun and easy to snap good photos while playing and exploring. I love the egg shot! (O: Stopping by from Small Style. Have a great day!

  3. I've only taken my son to the zoo once, but now that the warm weather is back, I hope to do it again soon! Your kiddos are so cute! Hope your little man is feeling better.

  4. Cute cute cute. We have a zoo (though WAY less nice than the Santa Barbara Zoo) up the way from our house. My Stella loves it, but mostly because of the kiddy train. Oh man. Thats like her total favorite thing ever.
